Reassessing Li Yuan-chia

Following on from the Li Yuan-chia exhibition she curated at the Richard Saltoun gallery last year, Diana Yeh has been collaborating with the Henry Moore Institute, Sotheby’s and Musee D’Ixelles to reassess the legacy of this artist, who has until recently been little recognized, and to bring his work into wider visibility.

Vietnamese Londoners

In July, Julia Thanh’s photographic and textual exhibition Vietnamese Londoners opened at Oxford House, London. The project aims to raise the profile of the British Vietnamese in London by focusing on the experiences of the second generation. Diana Yeh was excited to be invited to speak on the panel.

China Changing

Diana Yeh was recently invited to participate in the Southbank Centre’s international China Changing festival. She spoke about her book The Happy Hsiungs: Performing China and the Struggle for Modernity at the event, ‘Re-imagining a West End hit’, partly inspired by her book, in which UK-based creative hub Moongate Productions embarked on a contemporary reimagining of the play Lady Precious Stream.
