Vietnamese Londoners

31st July 2017

In July, Julia Thanh’s photographic and textual exhibition Vietnamese Londoners opened at Oxford House, London. The project aims to raise the profile of the British Vietnamese in London by focusing on the experiences of the second generation. Diana Yeh was excited to be invited to speak on the panel at the sold-out opening event alongside Tamsin Barber from Oxford Brookes University, discussing the invisibility of the British Vietnamese in the wider context of British racial politics. Most enjoyably, there were also some fantastic spoken word performances by artists Yung Nguyen, Tuyen Do and Anna Nguyen.
